Our name, Sterling, embodies the attributes of the team that leads our company. With combined experience of over 40 years in the financial sector, the executive managers are well-known experts in the field of investment planning and money management. They have earned a reputation of integrity and trust within the industry and bring with them in-depth knowledge and experience of the local and emerging capital markets.
 Charles Ross
Charles A.B. Ross, Managing Director. Through out his career, the careful watch Charles Ross kept on the range of challenges and opportunities facing private businesses in Jamaica and internationally expanded his knowledge of the investment landscape worldwide, and helped him acquire invaluable expertise in assessing investment instruments and the conditions that might impact their performance.
Member of the Securities Dealers Association and founding member of Sterling Asset Management Limited, Charles is a past Executive Director of The Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ) where he was
responsible for managing the investments and income of the organization over a ten-year period. He also became one of the PSOJ's principal spokespersons on macro-economic policy and social issues of national concern.
Charles holds a B.Sc. with Honours in Civil Engineering from the University of Edinburgh, a M.Sc. in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of the West Indies, (U.W.I) St. Augustine Campus, and an Honours Diploma in Management studies from the U.W.I., Mona, Jamaica, Campus.

Judith Bloomfield, Operations Manager. Judith brings to Sterling a wealth of experience gained through working for more than 25 years in the financial industry. Judith's skills are diverse and range from implementing client account software and operating procedures, to assisting in strategic planning and managing the day-to-day client operations of companies such as Sigma Investment Management Systems Ltd./Manufacturers Sigma Merchant Bank and Eagle Unit Trust. Judith is a graduate of the University of the West Indies (U.W.I.), Mona, Jamaica, where she holds a B.Sc in Management Studies.

David Weir , Manager – Investment & Client Services, - B.Sc. (Honours) – Economics and Management, UWI, Mona Campus - M.B.A. – UWI, Mona Campus, Jamaica - Certificates for completion of several Euromoney courses. This valuable member our team of expert investment advisors has honed his comprehensive management, marketing, treasury and organizational development knowledge through a decade of experience working in the financial sector. David joined the Sterling team in August 2007 and has responsibility for structuring, planning and managing the firm’s client portfolios.
He is also responsible for maintaining a continuous programme of communication with high net-worth clients and organizations, for establishing effective relationships with various organizations through target marketing, and for managing and developing client care standards. David has held positions at leading Jamaican financial institutions. Prior to joining Sterling, he worked as Assistant Vice President – Private Clients & Portfolio Management at Capital & Credit Securities Limited.

Dian Blackwood , Personal Financial Planner, B.Sc. – Management Studies (with minor in Economics), UWI Mona, Jamaica With superior personal financial planning being an integral differentiating feature for Sterling Asset Management in the marketplace, Dian is a vital member of the Sterling team. She adds outstanding accounting and finance shrewdness to the pool of skills found within the firm. Prior to joining Sterling, Dian was a Portfolio Officer at Guardian Asset Management, where she assisted in the pricing of portfolio under management, preparing profit and loss and balance sheet statements.
Dian's desire to achieve greater heights professionally led to her pursuing additional accreditation from the Canadian Securities Institute. She did this successfully and is now a Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) Designate.

Raquel joined the Sterling family in May 2004, prior to which, she worked at KPMG Peat Marwick where she was a member of their senior audit staff. Raquel has responsibility for the management, administration and the maintenance of accurate accounting and financial records of the company as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements. She has over 14 years experience in the field of Accounting, Auditing and Taxation having worked as a Tax Auditor with the Taxation Audit and Assessment Department of the Ministry of Finance.
Raquel holds a MBA in Business Administration at the Florida International Univeristy. She is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica and has a certification as a Revenue Agent as well as a Diploma in Business Administration (accounting major) from the College of Arts Science and Technology (CAST) now University of Technology (UTECH).
